Former Benficamanager Rui Vitoria had previously emerged as one of the targets being considered for the permanent manager’s job at Tottenham Hotspur. However, the report from Portuguese media portal O Jogo claimed that Vitoria is on his way to Russia.

It was reported that the ex-Benfica boss is on the verge of signing for Spartak Moscow in Russia. The 51-year-old is set to sign an initial two-year deal with the club based in Russia and the Spurs target is expected to earn around £4m in each of those two years.

Apart from Vitoria, the other managers said to be on the Spurs list include Julian Nagelsmann, Eric Ten Hag, Marcelino GarciaToral, Brendan Rodgers and Jesse Marsch.

A lot of the managers on the Spurs list are not available at the moment for different reasons like moving to another club, signing a new deal at present club and distancing from the Spurs job.

Leicester City manager Rodgers has reiterated that his future lies with the Foxes thus ruling himself out of the managerial job at Spurs. On his part, RB Leipzig boss Nagelsmann has been appointed as the new manager at Bayern Munich, while Red Bull Salzburg boss Marsch will replace him at RB Leipzig.

Ajax Amsterdam manager Ten Hag has penned a new deal with the Dutch Eredivisie club.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is looking for a new manager after he made the decision to sack Jose Mourinho last month and some days before the Carabao Cup final clash with Manchester City.  Former player Ryan Mason is in temporary charge of the Spurs first team until the end of the season.
